These bite sized treats contain less than 100 calories per serve plus they are truly high in protein and low in saturated fat unlike many other so called ‘protein’ balls or ‘bliss’ balls which can be high in calories and fat and low in protein. These protein balls also contain no added sugar.
- 50g dried apple
- 50g dates
- 20g dried cranberries
- 50g almond meal
- 25g desiccated coconut
- 20ml lime juice
- Zest of one lime
- 1tsp Lime essence
- 50g vanilla flavoured protein powder
- Place all ingredients in a blender except coconut and mix until smooth.
- Using your hands, roll the mixture into small balls and then roll in coconut.
- Place the protein balls on a lined baking tray and pop in the fridge to set.
